In Milan I used to live in very charming artsy area of Navigli Grande.
For those who don't know: Navigli-is a system of numerous water channels, projected by Francesco Sforza in 1457 and completed with projects of Leonardo Da Vinci year 1482. In 1805 Napoleon completed the construction of the last Naviglio channel. Navigli was built to connect important lakes and rivers through the great city of Milan.
Navigli is a magnet for artists of every race, with its waters neither clear nor sweet. It's not for nothing that Great Da Vinci himself laid his hands on it!
I love Navigli, it's where I feel comfortable and in peace with myself...
But Geneva's river Arve is amazing!
Don't you think?!
